Introduction to Counselling and Psychotherapy

This workshop offers client focused workers to build their therapeutic toolkit in order to support them in meaningful mental health conversations at work. It provides them with a knowledge base around mental health and mental illness, ideation and warning signs and how to support clients within the remit of their roles.

The Therapeutic Coaching CPD is a two-day training program designed to help Self Space Therapists transition into therapeutic coaching. The workshop focuses on combining therapy and coaching skills, emphasizing a client-centered approach, empathy, and actionable strategies. Participants learn to differentiate coaching from therapy, explore coaching techniques, and use tools like the Wheel of Life. The course introduces a six-session coaching framework, teaching powerful questioning, goal setting, and interventions such as NLP techniques. Through practical exercises and reflection, therapists develop the skills to support clients in achieving growth and transformation while maintaining ethical, compassionate, and effective practices.

Tools for Leaders focuses on supporting managers to better understand mental health in the workplace. We discuss common mental health challenges and their impact on employees and organisations, in order to improve general awareness and strengthen management processes. We offer a focus on the relationship between stress and mental health, with an aim to improve manager / staff interactions and to support managers to navigate the early signs of stress and minimise its potential escalation. We'll offer therapeutic tools and core principles to get managers to a more confident place when it comes to mental health conversations and emotional fluency.
