Neurodiversity Explained

Training Course

About the CPD Course

With 10-20% of the world's population being members of neurominority groups, the world of work must adopt inclusive policies and practices that benefit all neurotypes - including individuals with Autism Spectrum Condition, ADHD, Dyslexia, Dyscalculia, Tourette's Syndrome and other conditions. This introductory course will equip support professionals with the foundational tools and knowledge to create inclusive workplaces for all neurotypes. The module covers key concepts (the Social and Medical Models of disability, The Equality Act 2010), terminology (including Neurodiversity and Neurominority), and support strategies (from physical accommodations to flexible working to adjustments in communication style), effectively priming participants for further training.

Send it to Alex helps neurodivergent people identify and break through barriers that obstruct their valuable contributions to the world of work. We’re committed to closing the disability employment gap in the UK for neurodivergent people in three key ways: connecting individuals with trained Support Workers, neuro-inclusive training for organisations and Support Workers, and advocacy throughout the process of applying for funding for support.
