This course has been created for customer facing colleagues to support our commitment in making the railway an accessible and inclusive space for all our customers. The course has been designed as a refresher to build upon previous training, and in conjunction with our Accessibility Advisory Travel Panel. Completion of it is a mandatory requirement. Some of the key learning objectives include: Understanding barriers to accessibility and the social model of disability. Assisting customers with reduced mobility. Guiding techniques (using the three-pivot points: shoulder, elbow and top of the hand). Assisting customers with non-visible disabilities.

Would you know what to do if you witnessed someone being harassed? How would you respond if you saw a young child travelling alone late at night? Safeguarding on Our Network is a bespoke eLearning course which provides a foundation of knowledge for all colleagues on how to recognise and respond appropriately to safeguarding concerns. The course has been created with input from a cross-organisational working group with relevant experience and is designed to help colleagues identify different types of safeguarding concerns they may see and what appropriate action they should take.
