Understanding Low Carbon Concrete

CPD session designed to help architects, design engineers and project managers understand low carbon concrete materials and how to specify them. The session covers the technical and operation challenges of reducing carbon emissions from manufacture of cement and concrete, insight into current low carbon concrete material technologies, methods of comparing embodied carbon and industry product standards. It also explains and the decisions and trade-offs involved with specifying low carbon concretes based on the requirement of the specific project with reference to recent examples of how this has worked in practice.
