About the CPD Course

This course provides healthcare professionals with fundamental Adult Basic Life Support (BLS) knowledge and practical skills for emergency care. Participants will learn anatomy and physiology relevant to cardiac and respiratory function, recognise and respond to medical emergencies such as cardiac arrest, stroke, and anaphylaxis, and apply the BLS algorithm using the A, B, C, D, E approach. The course covers high-quality CPR techniques, safe use of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED), and management of adult choking incidents. Ethical and legal considerations, including DNACPR orders, are explored. Learners will gain the confidence to respond effectively and safely in adult emergencies.
