Domestic Abuse

Online Course

About the CPD Course

Domestic abuse is an emotive topic. It is not linked to a specific gender, race, age or sexuality, anyone can be a victim. The definition of domestic abuse is ‘any incident or pattern of incidents of controlling, coercive or threatening behaviour, violence, or abuse between those aged 16 or over who are or have been intimate partners or family members regardless of gender or sexuality'. This course explores what domestic abuse is, the different types of abuse, the affects and support available. What would you do if someone disclosed that they are a victim? Would you know how to respond?
