Domestic Abuse Champion Workshop

The purpose of this training course is to build confidence in the workforce in completing the DASH RIC, a tool used to assess the risk of further harm from DVA.It is suitable for anyone with an interest in this area, who may be working with families or individuals who may be affected by DVA, and is looking to be able to signpost to suitable support if a disclosure is made. It will help with identifying abusive behaviours , how to complete immediate safeguarding and who to refer to in your area. The training course will be delivered in one session lasting half a day with breaks for tea and coffee. There are approx. 16 spaces on each workshop. The training course will be delivered using power point, group discussions and small group work

The purpose of this workshop is to give learners an enhanced knowledge of domestic abuse and how to complete a DASH risk assessment. It is suitable for anyone who is not a domestic abuse professional but may need to complete a DASH as part of their role. The training will help with identifying abuse, completing a DASH and how to signpost and safeguard. The training workshop will be delivered in one session lasting four hours, including short breaks. The training can be delivered either virtually or in person and uses power point, group discussions and group activities.

The purpose of this workshop is to give learners an enhanced knowledge of domestic abuse and stalking. It’s suitable for any level within the education sector, including those working in a role where they may support individuals impacted by domestic abuse or those just looking to have a better awareness to support individuals. The training will help with identifying abuse, handling disclosures, signposting and safeguarding. The training workshop will be delivered in one whole day, including lunch and short breaks. The training can be delivered either virtually or in person and uses power point, group discussions and group activities.

The purpose of this training course is to give individuals an insight into Domestic Violence and Abuse (DVA). It is suitable for anyone with an interest in this area, who may be working with families or individuals who may be affected by DVA, and is looking to be able to signpost to suitable support if a disclosure is made. It will help with identifying abusive behaviours and how to handle a disclosure, how to complete immediate safeguarding and who to refer to in your area. The training course will be delivered in one session lasting a full day with breaks for tea and coffee and lunch. There are approx. 16 spaces on each workshop. The training course will be delivered using power point, group discussions, small group and pairs activities and case studies.

This one day frontline practitioners training day is for anyone working in Domestic Violence and Abuse Services who wish to gain the knowledge and skills to enhance their daily practice. It will encourage working in a trauma informed and holistic way, acknowledging that a person is the expert in themselves and that one size does not fit all. The training will focus on managing risks, being aware of professional boundaries and encouraging excellence in practice. There will be an opportunity to work in small groups, engage in discussion and listen to feedback from the course facilitators as well as other practitioners.

The purpose of this workshop is to give learners an enhanced knowledge of healthy relationships and how to support their peers and themselves. It’s suitable for anyone aged 14 – 25 who would like to increase their knowledge of domestic abuse, healthy relationships, consent and what support is available. The training will help with identifying healthy, unhealthy and abusive behaviours, talking to peers about relationships and signposting. The training workshop can be delivered over 3.5 hours, including short breaks. The training will be delivered in person and uses PowerPoint, group discussions and group activities.
