This course intends to provide learners with knowledge and understanding of what ADHD is and what it presents as. It includes the different types of ADHD and describes ineffectiveness, hyperactivity and impulsiveness and discusses the causes. Legislation and interventions are included that can be followed in the workplace. Also included are ways to support a person with ADHD.

This course is for staff who need to Administer medication to people. It provides guidance around all aspects of giving out medication including Infection Control, Safe Storage and Disposal and the relevant legislation. It is ideal to keep staff and vulnerable people safe and to help avoid human errors which is the biggest problem with medication administration.

This is a half-day classroom-based training session for people working with children and young adults who are affected with Attachment Disorder. This course aims to provide learners with an understanding and awareness of attachment and encourages each learner to reflect on their own personal attachments and their practice in relation to working with attachment disorders.

This course is designed to give carers the knowledge and information required when developing care plans for Children and Young People. The course outlines the requirements that arise from Legislation for completing care plans and key worker sessions. Learners will be aware of what is required from them as a key worker and will gain understanding of the procedures of admission of a child to the care home. Also included is the importance of Risk Assessments.

The course raises awareness of the factors affecting Child Development and provides information that the learner can use to help them respond appropriately should they need to improve the developmental needs of a child in the home. The content also covers the changes that occur in children’s behaviour and the various stages that affect children in care.

This online course examines how children are groomed online and offline, the different types of grooming, and recognising when grooming is happening. It also helps identify when Child Sexual Exploitation (CSE) is occurring and how to help victims.

This is designed to help learners understand the signs and symptoms of Dementia the causes of Dementia. Learners will then explore the models of care used when supporting people with Dementia and will consider different response styles and approaches to enhance the life experience of the person suffering with Dementia. There are case studies and scenarios that will help to develop Communication toolkits that can be used with people to ensure that the care planning approach is considerate of their needs and that they understand and contribute to their care and support plans in accordance with their ability.

This training session is designed for people working with children and vulnerable adults who suffer from Diabetes. Learners will be supported to understand the legislation and guidance in respect to Diabetes and will give guidance on how to support someone in the management of their diabetes.  It also provides an insight into how Diabetes affects the daily living of people with the illness with a regard to providing adequate and successful care practically, financially and emotionally.
