Managing First Aid (Theory) in Schools and Nurseries

A 6-hour classroom based training course concerning police custody procedures for drink/drug driving offences. Covering the police procedures and common areas where prosecutions fail. Facilitated by ex-police custody sergeant and trainer, now expert witness for drink/drug drive court cases.

A 2 hours course for school and nursery staff to understand their legal and best practice obligations for managing the health, safety and wellbeing of children with anaphylaxis and/or asthma, and staff handling the medication. Understanding the legalities around the medications and criminal liability for staff or the business if things go wrong.

An 8 hours on-line e-learning programme for staff who work within the secure sector, for the prevention of suicide by hanging.

An e-learning awareness course for all staff who work in schools or further education, to create a ‘whole-school’ approach for a suicide reduction strategy. Identifying vulnerable students with the vulnerability assessment framework tool, understanding common forms of suicide amongst students, understanding what to do if you believe a student is suicidal, Emergency response preparedness for discovering a student hanging or overdosed.

This 3 hours e-learning course is designed for staff who work in the education or nursery sectors and are not healthcare professionals, who are requested to handle or administer medication to children and young people. Ensuring the right child gets the right medication, at the right time, by the right route, in the right dose, with medication which has passed the site necessity test, not been tampered with, not spoiled and not gone off through incorrect storage. Keeping staff safe and legal to safeguard children and young people.
