About the CPD Course

This course is designed to equip healthcare staff with the knowledge and skills required to effectively perform and interpret electrocardiogram (ECG) readings. The course covers the anatomy and physiology of the heart, the indications for undertaking an ECG, how to correctly place ECG leads on a patient, and how to troubleshoot common issues. Participants will also learn how to interpret basic ECG tracings, including identifying normal sinus rhythm, atrial fibrillation, and ventricular tachycardia, as well as other common arrhythmias. The course covers the importance of timely escalation of abnormal ECGs to senior healthcare professionals and the documentation.
