About Wellbeing - CPD Member Case Study

We have been asking our members from across the industries the reasons why they became a CPD provider. This CPD Member case study was provided by Jo Hacking, Founder & Director of About Wellbeing. For more information, please visit their CPD Member Directory page.

Please provide us with a brief overview of your organisation. What do you do?

About Wellbeing provide facilitated learning spaces, retreats and workshops, employing tools from coaching and the benefits of group work to encourage safe conversations, expansive thinking and learning around strategies to thrive in stressful times.

Why did you become a CPD provider?

We became a CPD provider to ensure our events are professionally credible, evidence-informed, and clearly structured, whilst remaining responsive to the real-world challenges faced by professionals and leaders. CPD accreditation helps us offer reassurance that our content meets recognised standards and delivers meaningful learning outcomes.

At the same time, our mission is to create safe psychological spaces where people can reflect, learn, and flourish. We aim to support individual connection and insight, while strengthening organisational and professional engagement with wellbeing and mental health, including at leadership level and across wider systems and culture.

How did you implement CPD accreditation in your organisation?

As CEO, owner, and course director, I oversee the design, delivery, and evaluation of all our CPD-accredited retreats and courses. CPD principles are embedded at the planning stage, with clear learning objectives, structured content, and opportunities for reflection and application to professional and personal practice for whole human wellbeing.

Completing the CPD accreditation process has strengthened how we articulate learning outcomes and helped us to recognise where our content has the greatest impact. This allows us to deliver events that are consistent, whilst remaining adaptable to the differing backgrounds and needs of our delegates.

How has CPD helped your organisation achieve its learning objectives?

CPD accreditation has clarified our course development processes and allowed us to update and maintain good evidence-supported course materials and feedback mechanisms.

We hope this brief CPD Member Case Study was both interesting and helpful. Please go to the About Wellbeing CPD Member profile page for more on their available CPD.
