We have been asking our members from across the industries the reasons why they became a CPD provider. This CPD Member case study was provided by Michelle Guillemard, Founder of Health AI CPD. For more information, please visit their CPD Member Directory page.
Please provide us with a brief overview of your organisation. What do you do?
I develop and deliver certified professional development courses and practical resources focused on the use of AI in healthcare. My programs are designed specifically for health professionals who want to understand how to safely and effectively integrate AI tools into their clinical practice, communication and career growth. Through best-practice training, real-world examples and hands-on activities, I help healthcare professionals build confidence in using AI responsibly to improve patient care, enhance health communication and advance their professional skills.
Why did you become a CPD provider?
I became a CPD provider because I’m passionate about helping health professionals keep pace with the rapid changes transforming healthcare today — especially the rise of AI. I have been providing certified professional development for many years teaching health communication, so I understand the importance of practical, trustworthy education that supports clinicians in real-world settings. As AI tools become more integrated into clinical practice and health communication, I saw a real need to expand my offerings to include evidence-based training on how to use AI confidently and ethically. By combining my experience in health communication with expertise in AI, I create accessible courses and resources that help professionals enhance patient care, maintain high standards and advance their careers in an evolving healthcare landscape.
How did you implement CPD accreditation in your organisation?
Implementing CPD accreditation in my organisation involved a systematic approach to ensure that my courses meet recognised standards for professional development. I began by researching the relevant accrediting bodies and understanding their criteria for CPD approval. Then, I aligned the course content, learning objectives and assessment methods with these standards to ensure the training is relevant and measurable. I developed a robust process for documenting learning outcomes and participant feedback, which supports continuous improvement and compliance with accreditation requirements.
Working closely with The CPD Certification Service, I submitted detailed course materials and completed necessary applications to secure official CPD recognition. By embedding accreditation standards into my course design and delivery, I ensure learners receive credible, valuable certification that supports their career development and professional requirements.
How has CPD helped your organisation achieve its learning objectives?
Offering CPD-accredited education has played a key role in helping my organisation achieve its learning objectives by ensuring my courses are high quality, relevant and outcome-focused. CPD accreditation provides a clear framework for designing structured, evidence-based learning experiences that support health professionals in building practical skills and applying new knowledge in their work. It has also helped me attract motivated learners who value credible, recognised training that contributes to their ongoing professional development. By aligning my content with CPD standards, I've been able to consistently deliver programs that are trusted, measurable and directly linked to real-world challenges in healthcare. This has strengthened my impact and increased learner satisfaction.
