This is the second module in this Probiotics e-learning series.​ By completing this module, you should be able to,​ (1) Understand the presentation, prevalence and impact of irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), (2) Understand the psychological components of IBS as a disorder of the gut-brain-axis​, (3) Understand the role of the gut microbiota in IBS, (4) Understand the potential role of certain probiotics in the management of IBS, with recognition of key clinical guidelines​.

This is the third module in this Probiotics e-learning series.​ ​By completing this module, you should be able to, - (1) Understand the strain-specific clinical evidence for the use of a probiotic in IBS, (2) Understand the strain-specific real-world evidence for the use of a probiotic in IBS, (3) Understand the outcomes of the latest research into the use of a dual strain probiotic in IBS, (4) Understand the evidence of strain safety and viability.

This is the fourth module in this Probiotics e-learning series.​ By completing this module, you should be able to,​Understand the factors which should be considered when selecting an appropriate probiotic supplement for patients, including, Strain specificity,  caution with combinations of strains, evidence base, dosage, promoting compliance, suitability, adjuvant therapies and quality assurance.

This is the fifth module in this Probiotics e-learning series.​ By completing this module, users should be able to, (1) Understand the potential application of probiotics in emerging areas of health and disease including stress, sports, inflammatory conditions and immune health, (2) Understand the approach to developing probiotic technology.
